The short version: Me, Collected keeps your collection so you can see it on any device. It does not show ads, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell or share your information. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app at any time.
Who runs it
Me, Collected is an independent app made by one person, not a company. Questions go to our contact form.
What is collected
- Your email address, if you create an account. It is used only to send you sign-in links and codes.
- Your first name, which you type in so the app can say “amit, collected”.
- Your collection: the places, parks, stadiums, shows, concerts and books you mark, any dates and venues you add, your wish list and which trackers you chose.
- Messages you send us through the contact form: your name, email and message, used only to reply to you. They are delivered by our website host, Netlify.
Nothing else is collected. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools in the app. The app does not read your contacts.
Snap: photos of tickets, menus and places
When you snap a photo, the words in it are first read on your phone. If you are signed in, the photo (made smaller) and, if you allow it, where it was taken are also sent securely to our server and to Anthropic, the AI provider we use, so the app can recognize what the photo shows. Me, Collected does not store the photo. Only the result you choose to add (for example, the museum and the date) becomes part of your collection.
If you allow it, the app also checks your location at the moment you scan or tap “I’m here now”, to find the place you’re in. Your location is not stored, and never tracked in the background.
Using it without an account
If you choose “Use it on this device only”, your collection stays in your browser or the app on that device and is never sent to us.
Where it is stored, and who helps
A few services do the work behind the scenes. Each only receives what it needs for its job:
- Supabase stores accounts and collections and handles sign-in.
- Resend delivers the sign-in emails.
- Netlify hosts the website and app pages. Like any web host it keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses.
- Open Library (openlibrary.org) is asked for book titles and covers when you search for a book. Only what you type in the book search is sent.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr provide the typefaces and a code library the pages load, which means they see your IP address like any website you visit.
How long it is kept
Your account and collection are kept until you delete them. When you delete your account, your email, name and collection are erased from the database straight away.
Your choices
- Delete your account: tap your name at the top, then “Delete my account”, and tap again to confirm.
- Take a copy: tap your name, then “Download a backup of my collection”.
- Anything else, including questions about your data: write to us through our contact form.
Children
Me, Collected is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
